Decision Making at Anthropologie

“What if I make the wrong decision?”

I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes, my face getting hot, and my heart beating like crazy……

“Reel it in child, it’s a sweater.”  There was a voice in my head........How did it get there?

I was standing in Anthropologie, a gift card in one hand and two sweaters in the other.  I only had enough money for one and I couldn’t decide between the two. I mean, this is or life of death situation for most people right?!?!? Far from it I know. But I had been in this situation before; in more ways than one.

Let’s face it.  Decisions are hard to make. The unknown can elicit fear and/or excitement.  Fear of making the wrong decision can cause paralysis, no matter the situation.

Truth is (and I am trying to teach myself this more everyday) that there is no such thing as a bad decision. Everything in life is a lesson to be learned; sometimes they must be done the hard way.

Which sweater did I choose?

Neither….I went to the home section and bought a pillow instead.
