Dohoon Kim: Tension Bentwood Chair

It was 7:30 in the morning. I was sitting at the computer checking Facebook. Normally I would be asleep at this time but I had worked an overnight, so I couldn’t get away.

You could cut the tension with I knife. I felt a pit in my stomach, my face turned flush. I wanted to escape, but I couldn’t, I had to face the truth…..Everything was about to end and there was no way around it.  Even though he continued to act like nothing was wrong, he knew it too.

The problem was, my throat couldn’t catch up to my mind, and my lips couldn’t catch up to my heart. I fled to avoidance one last time. I kissed him goodbye and he was off to work.
